The bus is bad news, anyway. I quit school in the third grade so that I wouldn't have to ride the bus. Little kids get the worst of it - especially if their clothes aren't perfect.

It didn't last long, of course. Something about not being able to drop out until I was sixteen. Still, I never rode the bus again.
