semperfiona was born in California, grew up in Wisconsin, went to Indiana University, and now lives in a beautiful old St Louis house with her boyfriend, her wife, their daughter, six cats, a dog, five computers, and uncounted stuffies.

A person who spent much of her youth and early adulthood with a chronic case of wanderlust, she has become mostly a homebody. A person who once stunned the flight attendants on a Japan Air Lines flight by reading Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood in the original, she has constant regrets about having forgotten almost every word of Japanese she ever knew. A person who grew up an evangelical Christian, she is now an apathetic Taoist Pantheist. A person who used to be acutely shy, she is now willing to travel across the country to hang out for five days with total strangers. A person who once had boundless ambition, she's now unabashedly lazy. A person whose adolescence was marked by the total absence of romantic interest from the opposite sex, she's now a polyamorous bisexual with two primary partners, a girlfriend, and sometimes other lovers.

Updates 2022

For the last seven years, I have been getting more and more involved in fandom, mostly through making podfic but occasionally writing fic or filk. I'm currently obsessed with The Untamed and other Chinese dramas, and have started attempting to learn Chinese (and to refresh that long-lost Japanese while I'm at it, because I am nothing but a jump-in-at-the-deep-end kind of person).
