The last couple of days Rosa has been occasionally saying to me "I don't feel very well". The last time was this morning.

I just had another call from Ray telling me that she's got diarrhea. When he said that, I realized she'd had it this morning, I just didn't connect all the dots. It was before six am and I was trying very hard to get a few more minutes of sleep. Poor thing, her mommy yelled at her for waking her up.

I've called the pediatrician's office to see if there's anything I can do for her. They should call back soon.

My doctor always told me rice cereal (the baby kind), bananas, toast and applesauce. No juice or milk. They have that fortified water for babies now too (can't remember what it is called) on the shelves, used to be just from doctors--has electrolytes or something in it.

Poor baby. ~hugs Rosa~

Could be rotavirus - that's the disease my lab works on. If so, rest easy - it's very common - almost all children get it once - she'll just have terrible diarrhea for a couple of days, but as long as she stays hydrated, she'll be fine and it will pass. Good luck!

Would you believe that "I don't feel very good," is actually the more grammatically correct thing to say?

Apparently if you say "feel well," that technically means that your hands are numb or something... you cannot receive tactile sensation properly. "Feel good" refers to your physical state of being.

At least, that's according to my eleventh grade English teacher.
