Jul. 17th, 2002 10:06 amI lay down in bed with Rosa last night around 10 to help her go to sleep. I kept telling myself I'd get up and go do my evening chores (clean up the kitchen from dinner, write Sencerel's "where are you", and so on), but she kept squirming and complaining, so I stayed with her...only to wake up this morning to her calling me. "Where are you Mommy?" I was in bed, and told her so. She came back (heaven only knows where she had gone or when she left), crawled back into bed with me, and fell asleep.
I guess it made up for several days of insomnia, but I'm still sleepy.
This week at work has been much better than the last few: we're doing "extreme programming" and I have been temporarily moved into a conference room with another programmer and three more-experienced programmer-mentors. I'm learning a lot of little details that have made tons of difference, though I haven't yet had my turn at just going through the program with a fine-toothed comb. Supposed to start today...
The downside, of course, is that I have less time to write or read email and LJ. Though even in this room I can do it (and more safely than at my own desk, in fact) because no one can sneak up behind me. I'm at the back, facing away from a wall, and the nearest door is all the way across the room. *glee*
