I just got up a few minutes ago--maybe half an hour. I'm so languid and lazy this morning. Soon I'll go take a shower and wake myself up more completely, because I do have a lot of things I have to get done today. But not yet.

I did get up once before, at about 8, to escort Jen to the door. She had to go home to her little one, after a lovely snuggly night here with me. Mmmmmmm. ::happy smiles::

We met at the theater and watched The Bourne Identity, which was quite enjoyable. Funny thing, we seem to gravitate to the action movie choices when watching things together. "Guy movies" so to speak. I'm trying to think of the last "chick flick" we saw together. I think it was Kissing Jessica Stein. Sunday night at her house we started watching Like Water for Chocolate but got bored with it and switched to Vampire Hunter D.

Came back to my place, tried to log on to White Wolf's online games so she could check out her faction's doings, but it didn't want to work right. So we sat down and snuggled on the couch in front of Heathers. She'd never seen it before! My favorite movie, or one of them anyway. I can watch it over and over and it still makes me laugh. The sad thought came to me that Heathers could never be made now, after Columbine. Were we all that much more innocent in 1989? Or is it the opposite, that today we're far too self-censoring in order to avoid the possibility of reminding anyone of anything unpleasant--or worse, because even joking about blowing something up is likely to cause one's arrest these days? Are we living in Pleasantville or 1984 or the worst possible mix of both?
