Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Aug. 24th, 2002 09:14 pmI just bought
Never mind. Breaking news. IM from Ian, only the second time ever, and he greets me with "hello gorgeous". Hmmmm... :-)
[21:02:55] Ian: Hello, gorgeous.
[21:03:02] Fiona: Hello :-)
[21:03:20] Ian: Wanna be scarred for life? =)
[21:03:34] Fiona: I already am. Hit me. ;-)
[21:03:49] Ian: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/video/music/yatta.html
So of course I went to see. I have no words. Look for yourself, but probably best if not at work. It's a J-pop music video, but I can't describe it any further. When I went to comment to him on it, he had signed off. Hmm again.
Back to Vampire Hunter D, anyway. I was going to say, I bought it for Jen for her birthday today, and we came back to my place to watch it. Color me impressed. I quite liked the first one, but this one is yards better. Some very very impressive animation: the scenery actually looked real, almost photographic. And a good story, with neat ideas for the abilities of vampires and other creatures of the night. But please, whoever did the translations, it's "dhampir", not "dunpeal"!
