semperfionaFor those who've asked, the bedroom walls, pictured here, were done like this:
Two coats of Glidden "sand dune", which is a golden yellow, rolled on as normal, then one coat of sponge glaze. The glaze is a mixture of Glidden "precious jade", a bright sea-green, and something called "Faux glaze" which the Home Depot chappie pointed out to me. The instructions call for mixing it at 4 parts glaze to 1 part paint. I did it approximately 1 to 1: 1 gallon of glaze mixed with a gallon of paint. I rolled that mixture on with a special sponge roller until it was spread more-or-less evenly but not completely covered, trying to avoid making any patterns in the coverage.
The colors are a bit brighter than they look in the pictures, but it has kind of a feeling of a spring woods: dappled sunshine through the young leaves.
