Christmas Eve morning with baby
Dec. 24th, 2001 12:38 pmI gave Rosa a shiny red Radio Flyer tricycle for Christmas, and because we're going to Marina's tomorrow and I didn't want to transport it, I gave it to her this morning. She wasn't too excited by it. She rode it for a while with me pushing her--her feet don't quite reach the pedals yet--and then told me "No baby likes bicycle". I think she'll get to like it, it's just completely new to her.
Then I wanted to take her iceskating. She was all happy about it, so we headed off to Forest Park to Steinberg Skating Rink but when we got there she said "No want iceskating." I got her out of the car and we watched the other little ones skating while I tried to convince her to try it, but she was unshakeable.
So then we tried to go look at the Christmas flower show at the Jewel Box but it was closed. It was supposed to be open, but no one was there. And poor Rosa had gotten all excited about "See flowers!" I told her we'd look at the flowers in the grocery store, and headed toward the store. She fell asleep on the way, so I brought her home instead, and she is still sleeping now.
