A totally useless day
Jun. 9th, 2002 09:04 pmRosa got me up at 6:40 this morning. Even though I had crashed out early last night (10:00, same as her), I was still very tired. I had so many things I wanted to do today, but I could not find any motivation whatsoever. In the end I spent eight hours reading The Deed of Paksennarion. It was quite good, but that didn't get any cleaning done or the lawn mowed. I did manage to unload and reload the dishwasher, but that was it.
And something's wrong with my keyboard. It may be due to Rosa spilling water on it yesterday, but the space key doesn't work. (If you're wondering, I cut a space and am pasting it using ctrl-v.) The five doesn't work either. 1234690 Nor the seven or eight, apparently. I tried rebooting, I tried unplugging the kb, both to no effect. Several other flaky keys as well--the arrow keys, the delete, home, end, insert, some of the numeric keypad. Not any of the letters, this time. This sort of thing happened once before, affecting the cdeik keys. It cleared up after a couple of reboots. Cross your fingers.
