Theology 101: From the mouths of babes

Context: I was listening to the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack this morning, with Rosa in the car. I don't remember which song it was, but the song mentioned the devil. And she announced:

"There's a devil in my Bible
He tried to knock Jesus down
Jesus knocked the devil down."

Owie!

My left eye has been itching and irritated all morning. I kept trying to make it settle down with eyedrops and gentle rubbing, but finally gave in just now and went to take out the contact and clean it. When I got it out, I found it had a triangular tear out of the edge. No wonder it hurt! Can't put that back in my eye, so I'm stuck here all day with only one eye that can focus. I will probably have an eyestrain headache by the end of the day. I have no extra contacts here, no glasses, and it's too far to drive home and come back. I suppose I could take some sick time this afternoon and just not come back...

I'm not sure I like this one. I made grapefruit juice ice cream, varying the same lemon ice cream recipe I used for lemon and for orange, but while it tastes pretty good at first, it has a strange and not-quite-pleasant aftertaste.

Oddly enough, Rosa seems to like it.

I can do my nails at midnight, if I feel like it, but makeup has to be done in the morning. I'd rather sleep. And this is why I'm not a fashion plate. I sacrifice fashion to my comfort, rather than the other way around.
