Two nights in a row, the cordless phone dies after 139 minutes exactly. I haven't talked on the phone this much since high school, I think.

And then I'm a complete dork and sit up until 3 am playing Bookworm. The game is still going--I played a bit more this morning--and my current score is over 480,000. I'm curious to see how high I can get, but I'm actually getting bored with the game.

She's asleep! This is the first nap Rosa has taken at my house in about a month. I took her to the International Folk Fest and then let her play for about an hour on the best park playground I think I've ever seen. I guess it wore her out.

I may go back to the Folk Fest tomorrow, if I can't think of anything better to do with myself. There were a couple things I'd have liked to buy, but didn't have enough money with me; and I'd like to try some of the food, but I was full because [livejournal.com profile] indigobynight and I went to St Louis Bread Co first instead of planning on eating there.

Now to do the invitations for Rosa's birthday party while I have a quiet chance.

It's not much, only a few words, but I'm still proud of myself for making the effort to do writing exercises the last few days. Today's [livejournal.com profile] dropandgiveme50 was interesting in that I started off playing with a poem about advancing evening, didn't like the rhythms of it and couldn't make "crepuscular" fit the rhythm pattern I wanted, so dropped that and changed to prose. Initially it was going to be about a dim and shabby restaurant, and then the mood changed completely.
