Lady Grey. Hot.
Tastes similar to Earl Grey but with a slightly lighter flavor: not so heavy on the bergamot. Works nicely to clear a phlegmy throat. (And yes, suitable as bachelor chow: minute and a half to boil water in the microwave, steep tea. Drink. Of course, it helps to have ready access to teabags and teacups--or coffee mugs for those of us who like *lots* of tea.)
House cleaning pre-party is nearly done. Still need to vacuum the floors and get Rosa to pick up her toys. But all the decorating is done, the presents are wrapped, several (five?) loads of laundry have been washed, folded and put away--usually it gets left one or two steps short of completion--dishes are clean, bed is made with clean sheets...I was a busy little bee. I'd have finished the vacuuming too, if the phone hadn't rung and I hadn't stayed on the call for an hour. (::waves at Jay::) But now it's time to drink nice tea and then go sleep in nice warm clean bed. Wishing I had nice warm girlfriend in nice warm bed with me tonight, but glad she kidnapped me for a brief shopping expedition today.
Tomorrow morning I get to fetch my little girl. I think she'll be very pleased by the decorations: Hello Kitty and pink and yellow flowers. Rosa loves Hello Kitty. Rosa's mommy rather likes it too. Which is funny, I used to hate it, but now that it's not quite as ubiquitous, and that I've been going through a more-femmey phase (why the hell did I type "face" just there?) lately...I'm liking it a lot better.
She turns three on Monday. In another week after that it will have been two years that her daddy and I have been living separately.
