Mar. 23rd, 2006 04:39 pmIn the end, I was emancipated from the office just in time, and arrived at the hospital at noon to retrieve the lovely Tammie. We're home now, she's sleeping and I'm about to get up from my chair and start some laundry. I've a long list of things I want to accomplish today, but not a hella lot of motivation. Still, it needs doing.
We stopped briefly at the City House on our way home--concrete is being poured today both outside for the hottub base and inside for the bathtub--then at Lindenwood Drugs to collect some medicine for her and for Kitty!Fiona. At least one stop too many: her stamina faded while waiting for the medicines, and she was really ouchy by the time we got home. Traffic had picked up, some of the roads are really crap; as she said, "There's nothing like abdominal surgery to prove to you just how rough the roads are around here."
A funny thing I said to Terry when we arrived at work today--he turned into the parking lot just behind me--"I admire mornings, but we just don't get along together."
