Which old witch?
The wicked witch
The wicked witch is dead!

Good riddance to Jim Talent (and Rick Santorum, and the rest of the defeated Republican assholes).

Some small hope that US elections may not be generally rigged after all, electronic voting machines or otherwise.

Disappointment in the states that passed same-sex marriage ban amendments, but then Missouri had already done that to me last year (with some wonderful homophobic comment when I was phonebanking against the amendment). Not unexpected.

AmberCastle Arts has our first stained glass commission!

Size to be around 8x10, colors and design to relate to pillowcase I have in my hot little hand. Will most likely be hung against a wall rather than in a window.

ETA: She likes the design I came up with last night, and actually prefers an irregular edge to having it squared off and framed.

Halloween

So busy last week pre-Ambercon that I didn't have time to update about
Halloween. I took Rosa trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. For
the first time, we left our own block and went to the next block over.
Wow. They really get into Halloween over there. About ten times as many
houses were decorated and lit up, and there were even trick-or-treat
tourists!

A group of teenage girls were doing the Mummy Dance at each house they
visited--apparently a different group did the Time Warp at my house:
while I was away with Rosa, Chris and Tammie gave out candy at home.

Along the way, we met two little girls out trick-or-treating with their
parents. Rosa immediately glommed onto them and we stayed more-or-less
together until Rosa was called by nature and we went home.
