The Fabulousness of Jamie
Nov. 9th, 2009 10:55 amToday I want to tell all of you about our fabulous friend Jamie, who is made of fresh awesome with a side of awesomesauce.
Jamie is always stylish and well accessorized. She has the best jewelry, some of it she made herself. She does fire-eating and fire-spinning. She knits beautiful things and gives them away. She's got wonderful stories about her life and her travels. Egypt! Hawaii! Coatcheckgirl at the dyke bar!
Jamie loves Fiestaware so much that she has a Fiesta tea set tattooed on her back in lovely radiant colors just like her personality, so that even when she is away from her collection she always has Fiesta with her. Last year for her birthday a group of her friends made her a knitted Fiestaware teaset in glowing cotton colors.
Jamie loves green. Anything green, any shade of green, but there is one specific shade of lime green that is known among our framily as Jamie Green.
This summer, Jamie gave my family an unforgettable awesome gift. We heard that Leonard Cohen would be playing St Louis, but we were entirely without funds or credit to buy tickets. Jamie bought them on our behalf and let us pay her back over a month.
The concert was Saturday night, and we are all overwhelmingly grateful to Jamie for facilitating our attendance. Jamie, I know I can speak for all of us to say, we love you.
