(no subject)

This just in: I'm sitting in the TV room with my laptop, reading my friends page, watching the kittencats rambunct around the room. Five minutes ago Butch climbed up on the TV stand and batted at the TV until it turned on.

Both of the kittens are fascinated by the moving pictures, particularly if there is something small moving about the screen (the TV has a crosshair cursor from the remote that is an especial favorite or say, a basketball) that they can chase. Initially Sundance was disinterested, but apparently his brother has taught him the joys of TV chasing because now they both do it. We end up spending a fair amount of our TV time getting the cats down so we can see the screen. I'm a little worried that eventually they'll make holes in the membrane with their claws.

Aw, I am having a sad. Two of my favorite pairs of socks are Nick & Nora brand (a pair of blue knee socks with stars and a pair of white ankle socks with flower-child style logos). They're both wearing out.

I thought I'd check around for more Nick & Nora socks to replace or add to them, but to the best I can find, Nick & Nora isn't doing socks anymore. Every search for 'nick & nora socks' comes up with various clothing items with sock monkeys on, which while delightful in its own way, is not the thing I'm looking for.

I shall have to make do with Solmates, Sock Dreams, Sock It To Me and handknits. Poor me. ;-)
