Snowflake Challenge Day 4: 2020 Goals

I actually did this back in November in a private post, because I find I do better with setting goals if they aren't tied to The New Year in that Official sort of way. I've already done a few of the things I listed then! So call this a progress report rather than a goal setting post. :-D

• Convert old podfics to use AO3 work skin
  In progress. I've done several, and used the work skin on all my new ones since then
  
  
  
  • modifications to Azdaema's skin?
    Done; I decided the only real mods I wanted to make were quite minor and did them
  
  
  • Use spreadsheet formulas to create the AO3 posting html
    Done and it's EFFING BRILLIANT! Posting time cut way down, and accuracy way up!


• Load all mp3 files to the hosting that brickgrass set up for me, and use AO3's new audio markup tag
  In progress. Complete on the same set of existing and new podfics as the work skin


• Try Audacity again
  In progress. I completed one simple podfic using Audacity, but didn't learn any features beyond deleting unwanted audio yet. I'm not sure how far I'll get with this, since the current version of Audacity is incompatible with the already-released next version of MacOS and I probably want to upgrade my computer soonish
  
  • Make a meta post/podfic about my experiences switching from GarageBand to Audacity
  
  
• organize my bookmarks & add tags to them
  Hah, haha, ha. My bookmark list has only grown, wild and tag-free.


• 200k of podfic...actually, let's make this goal 250k
  In progress. I've got several podfic WIPs already. I finished 2019 with 29:53:35 hours of podfic, 261104 words. SO close to 30 hours! I made this goal in Nov at 200K because I wanted something I'd definitely reach, but I think I can easily surpass that. So let's give it a shot.

    First chapter read & half edited, cover art done. Should be posted this week.

• Get "Dragon of Chaos" going somewhere


• resume voice lessons

• reach 150 works (200 as a stretch goal)
  So far I'm at 115 revealed, 8 unrevealed

• read more actual books (back to the non-cis non-straight non-white non-male challenge)


• track fic reading & make recs
  I started the reading tracking spreadsheet on 1/1 (and read a ton of fic that day too)


• attend Podfication again
  
  • come up with a panel idea and run it


• attend GALA conference
