(no subject)

I actually did this back in November in a private post, because I find I do better with setting goals if they aren't tied to The New Year in that Official sort of way. I've already done a few of the things I listed then! So call this a progress report rather than a goal setting post. :-D

• Convert old podfics to use AO3 work skin
  1/8/20 In progress. I've done several, and used the work skin on all my new ones since then
  3/11/20 No further progress on old podfics but all new posts have used the skins.
  
  
  • Modifications to Azdaema's skin?
    1/8/20 Done; I decided the only real mods I wanted to make were quite minor and did them
  
  
  • Use spreadsheet formulas to create the AO3 posting html
    1/8/20 Done and it's EFFING BRILLIANT! Posting time cut way down, and accuracy way up!


• Load all mp3 files to the hosting that brickgrass set up for me, and use AO3's new audio markup tag
  1/8/20 In progress. Complete on the same set of existing and new podfics as the work skin
  3/11/20 Again, no further progress on old podfics but all new ones are uploaded. However, as of yesterday, the domain was not responding. I contacted brickgrass and he says he fixed it, but immediate check still didn't work. Will check again tomorrow; hoping it's just DNS propagation delay.


• Try Audacity again
  1/8/20 In progress. I completed one simple podfic using Audacity, but didn't learn any features beyond deleting unwanted audio yet. I'm not sure how far I'll get with this, since the current version of Audacity is incompatible with the already-released next version of MacOS and I probably want to upgrade my computer soonish
  3/11/20 I have continued to use Audacity for new podfics and I like it a lot. I've pretty much switched over entirely, except for when I need specific features that GarageBand has. It turns out that the NEW COMPUTER (!!!!!) still runs Audacity although it does require a tiny bit of fiddling.

  1/8/20 Hah, haha, ha. My bookmark list has only grown, wild and tag-free.

• 200k of podfic...actually, let's make this goal 250k
  1/8/20 In progress. I've got several podfic WIPs already. I finished 2019 with 29:53:35 28:30:28 hours of podfic, 261104 250115 words. SO close to 30 hours! I made this goal in Nov at 200K because I wanted something I'd definitely reach, but I think I can easily surpass that. So let's give it a shot.

  3/11/20 Still haven't registered (budget reasons)...but there's a decent chance that the whole conference will be canceled/postponed due to COV-19
