I'm trying to teach Rosa to say Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat. The book's been out on the table and I've read her several pages of it; now I'm trying to make her call it by name.

I miss getting new Calvin & Hobbes strips every day. ::sigh::

You're bringing that child up right - early exposure to Calvin and Hobbes is a good thing!!

Although they aren't new, you can get Calvin & Hobbes emailed to you every day. They are the original comics that were in the paper. For example, the comic from 10/27/91 would come on 10/27/02, and they are in the original order. You can get tons of other comics too. I get C&H daily, with a few more. You can sign up at uComics (http://www.ucomics.com/).

Yeah, I think so too. I'm just highly amused by imagining Ray's reaction should she suddenly say "Homicidal psycho" to him. ;-)

At least you don't call your child 'Satan' - Someone I know and love does just that...

The kid's name is 'Fiona Jayden'... and when she told me that once I misheard her... and I looked at Liz in total surprise and said 'You really *did* name her Satan!'

Liz just laughed but Fiona (6 at the time) was really pissed at me...

So I laugh...
She's a great mom, and I have a feeling you are, too.
Relax and don't be so hard on yourself!

Funny, that makes three people I know of whose name is some variation on Jayden, and I'd never heard the name before this year!

I do call Rosa & Phaelen demons quite regularly, but haven't yet called either of them Satan.
