Date: 2005-08-22 06:55 pm (UTC)That would make sense...
It's still sad. But a lot less upsetting than the idea of a neighborhood pond poisoner.

Date: 2005-08-22 08:48 pm (UTC)Raccoons are excellent fishercritters, but may be a bit small to splash out that quantity of water.
Got bear?
Re: Otherwise known as
Date: 2005-08-22 08:58 pm (UTC)In Western StLouis County?
That'd be too cool, but alas, no, I think we are bearsless in the StLouis area.
Ya know, I wouldn't even MIND losing fish to a bear.

Date: 2005-08-23 02:04 am (UTC)Adding to the thread about seeing more and more critters in Urban settings....I saw a red fox this weekend in Milwalkee - downtown mind you running through the outter edges of an Irish Festival! There must have been 5-10,000 people there and Mr. Fox seemed quite at home wandering along the Lake front on the fringes of the festival!
BTW, saw the full moon rise over Lake Michigan - what a site!!!

Date: 2005-08-23 02:53 am (UTC)IrishFest, ne? I went to that a few times.
It MUST have been! (a mouse can dream, anyway)
Date: 2005-08-23 04:02 am (UTC)Beaver, otter. Can bear be far behind? And can we keep them off my step-mother's hill (on the east side of Barrett Station, opposite the Museum of Transport) for now? I don't think my dad's up for wrestling bears any more.
