It's old-friend season...

I still haven't gotten around to posting that B called me Monday night.
(That'd be my old friend I googled up and emailed a few weeks ago. I
don't usually bother with initials, but he has a very unusual name and I
haven't yet gotten around to telling him about LJ.) We've been
exchanging an email or two a week since then, and he wanted to hear my
voice. Apparently I still sound much the same after fifteen years. :-)
So does he, although he speaks with less South Carolina now. We had a
great forty minutes or so of catching up on what's happened in the last
years, talking about books and so on, and he even asked me to explain
about Amber. I took some care not to bore him too badly.

And then today someone I knew at IU (jr0124) found me through
the schools feature (which I just set up yesterday!) and sent me a note.
Neefty!
