Any company that refers to the people that work for them as a "resource" automatically MUST hire inhuman demon-spawn for the person that will determine the best ways for said company to use their humans.
What ever happened to the "personnel" department? That always felt more personal to me.
I just found out this morning - I too am doing the happy dance (as is most of the company I imagine!) I was shocked to hear the reason why though, poor Scott - I always thought he was a nice guy (and had better taste!).
Neither am I, as you can imagine. But I accidentally overheard something last year, and then Friday there was no other topic of conversation. Someone up here (FOAF, you know) goes to the same hairdresser as Catbert...blahblahblah.
In any case, I'm now wondering just how a romantic relationship between two of the VP's can possibly not produce a conflict of interest. ESPECIALLY when one of them is the HR director. Shouldn't one of them have resigned when they first started dating?
Well you know the nepotism policy around here only applies to those that the 'power's that be' want it to anyway. Since this was 'just dating' I'm sure they would feel it didn't apply no matter how much it probably did.
