Context: Rosa and I are going to Wisconsin for the weekend, and I took the day off to pack and such, but I didn't want to take her out of school for the trip. Her school starts at 7:45.
Me Yesterday evening, circa 6 o'clock: I will be picking Rosa up at school at 3 and then getting right on the road.
Me Yesterday evening, circa 8 o'clock: I wanna go to the Y tomorrow, can we fit that in with all the errands?
Chris: Sure, you can sleep in a bit and get up with my [9:00] alarm.
Me yesterday evening 11:15: Rosa, time for bed. You have school in the morning.
Me yesterday evening midnight: I'm going to bed. *Turns off daily 6:00 am alarm and sets one for 8:00*
Me this morning about 8, just before the alarm: *gets up to pee* oh shit! Rosa's not at school!
I proceed to wake her up and make her get dressed. She got to school at 8:30.

Whoops!
Date: 2014-08-29 05:36 pm (UTC)I'm confused on one thing - why doesn't Rosa have her own alarm clock? I'm pretty sure that my dad stopped being responsible for me getting out of bed starting in 6th grade. I went to college with entirely too many kids who almost failed or actually failed classes because they had never had to use an alarm block before moving into the dorm... let that be a cautionary tale! :P
