semperfionaWell, there was a baby in the bed when I went to crash, but she slept well all night--didn't kick me, didn't wake up every half hour demanding water--and I also slept well. So well, in fact, that I didn't wake up until nine this morning. I hadn't set my alarm clock, not wanting to wake her prematurely, but I figured that she would wake up by seven as she normally does. Not today. I had to wake her.
First thing I did, I got up and called in to tell my boss I'd be late. Second thing I did, I called her grandmother to tell her we'd be late. Then we took a shower and got dressed and dashed out the door. I arrived at work at eleven. I'm going to call it sick time, since after all, Rosa is sick.
