Ok, color me impressed. Lucas and co have redeemed themselves for the fiasco that was Ep 1. I found myself actually laughing with nostalgic delight even at the very beginning when the story synopsis scrolled up the screen, and it just got better from there. Vader's theme when Anakin makes a bad choice. The stormtroopers massing...oh yes, this one belongs in the Star Wars canon. I'll just pretend Ep 1 didn't happen.

So many people have been saying that it's good that I'm wavering toward seeing it. So you enjoyed it?

I'll have to go alone, as curgoth has decided to boycott it, but that's okay.

It actually made me think, too. I'm not sure I can express what I mean without spoiling the movie, but about the interactions of good and evil and the way well-meaning folk can fail themselves.

I liked it too.
That fact has made me lose some 'cool points' with some apparently uncool people, but so what.
My boss was silly though...she didn't like it. It was too 'lovey-dovey' for her. Personally I thought that made it better. I like Natalie Portman. I liked her in The Professional with Gary Oldman too. Hell, I like pretty much anything with Gary Oldman.

I still think the title sucks, though. I'm not sure what I'd suggest instead, but "Attack of the Clones" sounds too much like a bad B-movie. And I can't help hearing "Clowns" instead.

For people who thought it was far and away better than Ep 1.
got to see it with wldrose, but that was after my nesting partner daltong saw it 2 or 3 times already.

Oh..digital report..from daltong if you get to see it in the digital format, don't sit on the side of the theater. She said that her and her OSO, *R* had to move to the middle of the theater during it and once they did that...her words "OH my Goddess!".

I thought the action/special effects were great, enjoyed the way he is bringing all the stories together (foreshadowing in reverse, how's that for a neat trick), but HATED the love scenes between Anakin and whatever her name was. They could have been so good...I really really wanted to believe in them as lovers...but i could see absolutely NO redeeming qualities in him that would attract her to him! And that whole "Sound of Music" scene in the meadow...BLECH!

That said, i thought she was SO hot in that leather corset-like dress (the fireside scene.) OMG, I didn't know if i wanted her or just her clothes. (But isn't that the way it is with the best crushes? LMAO)

Couching Muppet, Hidden Sith Lord was great.
I thought that the love story is neccessary for Ep 4-6. YES I want Natalie Portman in the leather corsett.
The xf were top notch.
