Jun. 24th, 2002 12:08 amProbably my least favorite way to spend an hour: paying the bills. Even though I use internet bill pay, and most of them are on auto-pay...I think I'd rather clean the cat box. I know I would: I certainly do that far more often.
Went to see Minority Report with Jen this afternoon. It was a pretty good movie, which surprised me. I hadn't wanted to see it until I saw a couple of very positive reviews, but then I decided to give it a chance. I quite enjoyed it, except for the scene which triggered my eye-injury-phobia. I hid my face in her shoulder until it was over--so sue me. Some things I just can't take. Anyway, it was good. I liked the concept of vertical highways, the spider-things were far too resourceful, and yes, I did figure out what was going on fairly early on. Still, it was a good adaptation of sci-fi, and that's always a positive.
Then she went home to rest, and I wandered over to PrideFest. Missed her IM that she'd go with me (::pout::) because I had already left. (::grumble::) I didn't really stay long or do much: joined the Human Rights Commission, bought a couple little things, ate some food, and listened to about half the Judy Tenuta show. I was not really impressed. I realize my sense of humor works better in company of people I like, but still, I thought she was a little too overdone and didn't really have any new jokes, just old ones. What really pissed me off was the old tired "What do lesbians do in bed anyway? Who's the guy?" No, you idiot, that's the whole point! I left after that. Came home, read the newspaper, and paid the aforementioned bills. How exciting.
