Jun. 28th, 2002 11:45 pmWhat a lovely evening. Dinner out at one of my favorite restaurants--oh and the chocolate covered strawberries for dessert! Then The Laramie Project which was just stunning. The breadth and depth of the exploration of one small town made it clear that Laramie is no different from anywhere else. However much we might like to feel superior in our big city, the same gamut of people are found everywhere.
Added much later (5pm, 7/2)
I forgot to mention we had Front Row Seats! The last time I had front row seats for anything was freshman year in college, when I had a front row seat for REO Speedwagon at Assembly Hall. Unfortunately, I was at the concert alone, and did not know the music--having grown up on Contemporary Christian--so I was not really into it very much.
And at intermission the string quartet asked me to take their picture with the composer. Only now do I realize I should have asked them to sign my program.
