Greengage jam
Aug. 3rd, 2002 02:17 pmGreengage jam was one of our favorites when we lived in England. I've been looking for it here ever since we came back, but have never found it. So I finally decided to try making it myself. I just did it while Rosa has been asleep. I now have three jars of green plum jam cooling on the kitchen counter. I don't know whether the green plums I found were really greengages or not, but they were certainly sour enough, and the drips of jam-in-process taste pretty good. I'm even thinking of giving one of the jars to Ray, since it was something he really liked.
