Why is it that I'm always running late on a day I need to buy gas?

Will I ever remember that the gascap is on the passenger side on my new car? I think I might have figured out why, though. It's a Japanese car; in Japan they drive on the left, so the gascap is actually on the driver's side if they use the same body for domestic sales as export.

It's really difficult to find Valentine's Day cards that I can feel comfortable giving to people. As a poly person, I don't feel right about sending a card that says "You're the only one I'll ever love", or "I didn't know what love was until I met you," or other such monogamous sentiments. And Hallmark isn't particularly helpful for non-heterosexuals, either. Almost all the cards were either addressed specifically to a man from a woman, or to a woman from a man. Many of the ones that had text that felt okay had pictures of a male-female couple. I don't want to send that to my girlfriend!

I know there are online card stores that have e-cards for alternative relationships, but I want to send a physical object that someone can keep on their desk and smile at!

I did eventually find some things that will work. They're not entirely ideal, but I think the point will get across.

Yay me!

I've gotten two pats on the back today for figuring out stuff in the new Java project. It feels good to be digging into something and learning new ways to use it, especially when I can solve a problem that's been troubling even the "experts" around here.

Metal!!!!

I just arrived from CheapTrx, my local piercing studio. I now have a brand new vertical hood piercing, AND, because that was my fifth piercing there, I got a sixth one for free. A tragus, on my right ear.

Actually those were my sixth and seventh, but whatever, the charges were right, I paid for one and got one free.

Paul asked me to play Aria tonight, because she was suddenly needed for a scene in ACW2. It had been years since I'd even seen Liss play her, but I think I did pretty well. ([livejournal.com profile] devilmuse, I'll send you the log if you like, and you can pick holes in my characterization.) Paul thinks I did a good job. ::pats self on back::

I really enjoyed playing two characters at once. Made me feel a GM-ish urge again. I must get AE:R going again. Three months of dead time is pathetic.
