(no subject)

So I went to the movie theater tonight to see...Three guesses and the first two don't count. ( Guess what? )

Good thing I checked!

I was beginning to wonder where my extended LotR set was. Amazon had emailed me Sunday to say it was shipped, and I checked the package tracking Tuesday and saw that it had arrived at the St Louis distribution center. But last night when I got home from the movie I looked between the front doors (default package-leaving location) and found nothing. So this morning I checked the tracking information again, and it said "Delivered". Went back to the front door looking for one of those little "While you were out" notices. There was none. Puzzled, I stepped out the door and turned around to look back at it. That's when I realized the package had been left on the porch beside the chair. It was too big to have fit between the doors.

Good thing it didn't rain yesterday!

Now I have a backup plan if the lovely Jen can't make it tonight. I do miss her though and I truly hope she comes over. It's been a while since we've just spent time being together without the kids, rather than doing something (usually a movie). I wanna have a conversation and some extended snuggle-time.

One of the small pleasures about living in St Louis: it may be the 21st of November, but the rose bushes outside my back door are still blooming fiercely.

Still at work because I don't want to go home to an empty house. Jen can't come today, she's sick. I so miss having someone to come home to.
