semperfionaI just got a rather frightening note from Kirk. In his own words:
"Got good and bad news. The bad news was that I spent most of the last month fighting a kidney stone. In finding the kidney stone they found something that looks a lot like kidney cancer. The good news is that this has a very small chance of killing me if I get it removed in the next 6-10 weeks."
