A rather disappointing morning
Oct. 29th, 2002 06:59 amI made chili for the company chili cook-off. I'm not happy with it, but I have to take it anyway. I've been trying to salvage it: added more chili powder, pepper, and a can of beans just now. It's a bit better but still too tomato-ey. I should never have added the tomato paste. I wasn't thinking.
And then my PC was acting up: first it wouldn't come back from whatever la-la land it had gone to in sleep mode, and then when I cycled the power it didn't start up right either: it got hung up in the process so that I had to cycle the power yet again. This time it seems to have worked.
All that, and I have to leave for work an hour before my usual time in order to get the chili there on time. In fact, I should not be sitting here now. Wouldn't be, if the computer hadn't misbehaved.
