I made chili for the company chili cook-off. I'm not happy with it, but I have to take it anyway. I've been trying to salvage it: added more chili powder, pepper, and a can of beans just now. It's a bit better but still too tomato-ey. I should never have added the tomato paste. I wasn't thinking.

And then my PC was acting up: first it wouldn't come back from whatever la-la land it had gone to in sleep mode, and then when I cycled the power it didn't start up right either: it got hung up in the process so that I had to cycle the power yet again. This time it seems to have worked.

All that, and I have to leave for work an hour before my usual time in order to get the chili there on time. In fact, I should not be sitting here now. Wouldn't be, if the computer hadn't misbehaved.

if you want to cut the bitter tomatoey taste add some brown sugar. it will cut the tartness out.
