And a moment of maternal pride: I was in here checking something on the computer when I overheard Rosa talking. She was in the living room with "The Little Engine That Could" looking at the pictures and telling the story aloud to herself.

I've been trying to figure out my vacation plans for next year, and had no idea what my total hours off were going to be at different times, so I decided to write a vacation accrual estimation program. Spent the latter half of the day doing that; it is about 75% functional now. I could have finished it, but needed to get home to pick up the little one. Thinking semi-seriously about going to England in perhaps 2004. Definitely going to buy tickets to NC for New Years before this weekend is out.
