Things I (re)discovered tonight while cleaning

• That a 4ft fluorescent tube, when knocked over, explodes into a million tiny pieces and emits a thin white smoke.


• My watercolor set, brush calligraphy set, and a lot of other art materials.


• How to stop the leak under the fridge.


• That I really used to be good at drawing


• An old letter from Ray, written in 1997, just after we'd run into the wall in our marriage.


• That getting pointy bits of linoleum under one's fingernails hurts!

One of my artist's dates in the next couple of weeks is going to be going down to Chinatown and finding myself a brush calligraphy set. And then playing with it.
