Well, crap. I don't think I've got much chance of taking next Friday off
unless a lot of things change between now and then. I just got a little
lecture about working extra hours if necessary to get the EDI project
done because its deadline has already slipped significantly. I said I'm
already doing that (which is true; I did six hours on Sunday week before
last, and a couple hours Monday night of this week). But I get the
feeling I still have to do more, and I don't feel comfortable asking for
time off unless I've made a lot more progress before then. Buggerit.

Not to mention I'm not even currently able to work on it because I'm
doing another hot item that was reminded to me. Hopefully this one will
not be too difficult and I can get back to the damned EDI.

You *do* mean "remanded", don't you? As in "handed off to you by someone else whose job it was but who considered himself incompetent to do it"?

Um, no, I mean "reminded", as in, "I was reminded of," or "someone reminded me of".
