I've been meaning to ask this for a while, but I keep forgetting. How do
I get rid of saved entries from a dropdown list in Windows? For example,
because I hit enter prematurely once, I have 'se' saved in my
livejournal login page as well as 'semperfiona'.

ETA: I'm using Firefox.

Assuming you're using Explorer, you can try Tools | Internet Options | Content tab | Personal information: AutoComplete and click the relevant things. You might not be able to delete some AutoComplete things without deleting all of them, though.

As I recall... try hilighting the selection you don't want in the pulldown list and hit 'delete'. It doesn't work in Firefox, but does in IE.

wish i knew - it's a nuisance in my linux version of firefox too, but i've never really bothered to try solving it.

...that under "options" and under "privacy" it showed "saved form information" and clearing that helped that.

But I may be wrong.

That was it! Wish it had offered the ability to remove saved information selectively, but it did get rid of the bogus entries.
