Last night, while I was reading The Speed of Dark, Rosa was sitting on my lap. She pointed at the cover of the book and said, "MOON!" I asked her whether she recognized any of the other words on the cover. "The" and "of" are two of her sight words, so she got them right away. Then she sounded out "Speed" and "Dark" as well. I had to help with "Elizabeth".

I think she's finally getting the hang of this reading thing!
