This morning I was feeling rather down (viz. last night's post). As I
passed by Winghaven, I thought, "What I need is a nice walk in the
swamp." So I emailed Work!Chris and suggested it. We just got back.

Egrets and herons and ducks, oh my! Turtles and minnows and frogs!
Leaping over a muddy creek and getting mud on my shoes...

And then...oh, glorious. We walked up the other side from the parking
lot to a little fountain area. He was dejected because it was off. I
stepped on the on switch, and we had several minutes of gleeful
puddle-stomping.

Exactly what I needed.

You didn't mention the ducks! Ducks and puddles go together like, well, things that belong in pairs. To find them at the same time is truly a momentous occasion. No wonder you were feeling better!
