Oct. 15th, 2006 05:51 pmCable and internet went out Thursday afternoon sometime. Called Charter Thursday night after three or four attempts at resurrecting it by cycling the router and the cable modem. Made an appointment for Friday afternoon 1-5, for which Tammie cancelled another appointment she had and stayed home all afternoon. No cable guy. Chris called Charter again Friday; they claimed they'd been out but no one was home (complete nonsense; no one ever knocked). Made a new appointment for 8-5 Saturday. No cable guy by 4:30, so he calls again. Was told that an all day appointment is actually 8-8, but the customer service person sends codes to the cable box and gets it back to limping along. Still no cable guy all of Saturday.
So guess who knocks on our door at past five this evening?

Date: 2006-10-15 11:35 pm (UTC)What if you told them you'd pay your billl some time between january and march? Would that go over? Probably not. Why can they schedule in a 4 hour window, then?

Date: 2006-10-16 04:32 am (UTC)I thought Chris said that they didn't do appointments on Sundays when I talked to him last night. Clearly the cable company has been running a day behind and they think that it is Saturday.
Ejits.
