Despite getting here at 10:05, today is going exceedingly slowly.

I got stuck in a big traffic jam just before the Boone Bridge. It took
nearly an hour to get from the Long Road exit to the bridge, with
several periods lasting from ten to twenty minutes of no motion at all.
And then suddenly, just when I'd gotten close enough to see the flashing
lights of the accident responders, they took off and the road opened
instantly.

On the news this morning, just before the traffic helicopter landed for the day due to bad weather, they reported an accident on Hwy 40 at Hanley that had caused massive jams in both directions. She said that traffic was a standstill from Hampton west, and from Lindbergh east.

It was just not a good day to be on the roads. :-(
