They're building an upscale shopping mall across from my office. This has been there since before the beginning of the build; it's now right in front of the new gate. The road to our place is currently detoured so I'm driving past it every day. I finally managed to get a cellphone picture.

I've been wondering that too. I think the construction guys found it and just tacked it up there as a lark and it's just not been taken down yet. It makes for some interesting theories though. :)

It looks like a toilet seat attached to a dead bush, with a stalk of broccoli sticking out the top.

Actually it's a wooden toilet seat attached to a telephone/electric pole covered in kudzu.
