Nov. 4th, 2008 04:03 pmFinding myself twitching and fidgeting incessantly this afternoon, Dr. Me prescribed a walk. I went outside and walked three times quickly around the track, and am now much less fidgety. Plus I get to go home in little less than half an hour (yeah right. More like an hour and a half) and take the baby out for birthday pizza.
However, to come to the point--and I do have one--while I was out RandyH stopped me to tell me that the lurkers support me in email. Remember the bird deaths I posted about last week? I made a post on the internal forums asking if there was something we could do about it. Responses on the forum have ranged from dismissive (Jackie the facilities manager) to derisive ("get a BB gun and be done with it" I ask you!), and I was feeling quite put out. However, he at least agrees with me, and said he might take it up with Jackie as well. He also said a lot of people he's talked to are "on your side". Encouraging.

Date: 2008-11-16 05:34 pm (UTC)The poor birds don't actually see the window as a solid object. Nor do they see anything on the other side. No. What they see is a mirror of the safe, clear sky they are flying in.
Their best hope is if you put up something that signals the danger they are headed for.
