This has been all over the office today. I am just stunned into disbelief by the very idea that anyone could do this.

Oh my god, how horrifying! I truly don't understand how someone could ever think that that's an okay way to handle the situation. After seeing the traffic accident I saw last week, just *driving by* there was no way I could not stop and try to help. Had I hit someone and injured them, I'd be absolutely horrified...I'd want to do everything in my power to help them and hope that they would be okay. I understand a fear of being punished, but my god, doesn't that pale in comparison to the loss of someone's life? You'd have to be one stone-cold person to just leave the person to die *in your car* and not try to get them help. I can't imagine how distraught his family must feel knowing that he probably could have lived if he'd been given treatment.

a monster, not a person

I live here in the DFW area and we're all ready to shoot the lawyer. I realize that his job is defend, but to me there is no defence for that. This is what urban legends are supposed to be made of, not real life.

Reading about this one has scarred me. Everytime something like this happens, I realize I am not against the death penalty.
