semperfionaIt's early afternoon on my Monday work-from-home day, and I keep thinking, "Rosa's bus should be here any time now." And it will, except Rosa will not be on it. She's in Washington DC today (left yesterday, gone til Friday morning). D'oh. And here I had been thinking I was doing so well with having sent my kid off on a weeklong adventure without any parents or even grandparents!
Yesterday when they left, a lot of moms were sniffly and teary-eyed. I wasn't, and I'm still not, but I'm not used to the idea that my afternoon won't have a kid in it.
She texted safe arrival this morning, and I expect a call this evening sometime. I'm sure she is having a fantastic time already.
