Found my wallet this morning. In the car after all, on the backseat next to the passenger-side door. How I and Tammie both managed to miss it in four separate searches of the car, I don't know, but it was right there in the open when I happened to turn around at the gas station this morning.

Wow I felt like a doofus, but it is also a huge relief. I don't have to replace my cards and driver's license!

Had the same thing happen to me once. I blamed the angles of light. Glad you found it.
