Why does this vaguely creep me out?

A personal ad from this week's Riverfront Times:

Lawyer, tall, slender, seeks very, very intelligent, slender lady under age 35, to do nothing but watch adult videos together. I am not eager for physical intimacy immediately because there is too much chance of disease even when the person has no symptoms.

Is it the insistence on physical attractiveness combined with "but no sex!" or is it the creepy suspicious quality of "you might have cooties", or the idea that he wants someone to watch dirty movies with, but not to go for walks in the woods with, or out to dinner with, or anywhere else but his (probably skanky) couch in front of the TV?

If he's that concerned about STD's, why not go and get tested together with however he's interested in?

That's what I wondered, too. But since I'm creeped out by his ad, I'm not about to answer it to make the suggestion.

When I read 'Lawyer, tall, slender . . .' I had assumed the person writing the ad was female. Odd that. And while I thought that, the ad was odd, quirky, a little paranoid, but hardly too objectionable. Then, you put it in the context of some guy, and it's suddenly 'ew's'ville'.

It was classified under "men seeking women", so I have to assume it's a guy. They do occasionally misfile ads, but...

Well, I was most surprized by the rather radical change in comfort level given the change in gender, in my head at least. I guess two tall slender 30-something professional lawyer women sharing an interest in watching p0rn is much more acceptable than some wiry, scrawny pushing-40 ratboy lawyer with a skanky couch leering at some girl while he watches his porn.

I'm glad you're not into clinical psychology. I don't really want to know what that says about my head.

So he's basically looking for a smart woman who wants to sit around with him and watch him jack off? If she was smart, why would she want to do that? That's what this sounds like (I'm assuming "physical intamacy" doesn't preclude watching but not touching....)
